pyexiv2 0.3.1 released

Added by Olivier Tilloy about 10 years ago

I am pleased to announce that pyexiv2 0.3.1 was released today.

pyexiv2 is a high-level python binding to libexiv2. Please note that it's a separate project, you can follow its development and contribute on Launchpad. There is also a dedicated team and an associated mailing list. Please do not report bugs for it here.

This is a maintenance release.

The highlights of this release are:

  • Compiles and tested against the latest libexiv2 (0.22)
  • Updated windows dependencies (iconv 1.14, libexiv2 0.22, python 2.7.2, boost 1.47.0)

Many thanks to everyone who contributed with bug reports, patches, testing and suggestions. As usual, your feedback is much appreciated.

Olivier

I just released pyexiv2 0.3.2.

This is a brown-paper-bag release that fixes bug #880659 (Regression: pyexiv2 0.3.1 doesn’t work with Python 2.6).

The source tarball is available, as well as a win32 installer.

Packages for Ubuntu will soon be available in the pyexiv2-developers’ PPA.

Olivier

I've build this on Mac (Universal i386/x64) and Windows (both x86 and x64).

pyexiv2-0-3-2+exiv2-0-22+python27.zip (4327273 bytes)

I've included my build notes in ReadMe.txt in the archive.

I've tested the Windows builds (both x86 and x64) in the office and believe they are solid. I don't have a spare/clean Mac on which to test. Feedback from a user would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much for your work on this Robin!
I’ll test it shortly and will let you know how well it works.

I have published a win64 installer for pyexiv2 0.3.2 (Python 2.7) that ships Robin’s build.
It is available at http://launchpad.net/pyexiv2/0.3.x/0.3.2/+download/pyexiv2-0.3.2-py27-amd64.exe.

This was successfully tested on an up-to-date copy of Windows 7 premium edition.

Feedback welcome, and thanks a heap Robin!
