Fix submitted r4577 r4578 r4579. Built and tested on MacOS-X Intel and PPC. Spec: http://www.libpgf.org/fileadmin/MEDIA/PGF_Details.pdf All data in littleEndian. Gilles had marked the endian sensitive code with TODO.
