Problems converting SubSec tags to XMP

Description
Exif SubSec tags which do not contain numbers are wrongly converted to XMP.
E.g., a SubSec tag containing 3 bytes 0, 0, '3' leads to an XMP timestamp which ends in a . and can not be converted back to Exif.
