Exif tagtables should have a default type

Similar to Iptc datasets, a type should be present in Exif tag tables and used when new tags are created for which there is no otherwise explicit type info available.
Additional information:
This is a prerequisite to support new file formats, since the Exif data read from, e.g., RAW image files may not carry type information (at least this is the case for Canon CRW images).
