Exiv2 release 0.18.2

This is a compatible bugfix release. There were no API changes and it is binary compatible with 0.18.1.
This release fixes several important issues found with PNG write-support, writing to certain NEF images and writing comments to JPG images, among others. It also contains minor Nikon and Minolta lens updates and updates Polish translations. The ChangeLog has a detailed list of changes and contributors.
Once more I would like to say Thank You! to everyone who was involved in the work that lead to this release in some way or another. Not all contributions are listed in the ChangeLog, as not all important help is directly related to code changes or issues listed there. Like, for example, Robin, who prepared an environment on his Mac for me and got up before 6am before work, literally on the other side of the planet, to let me log into his machine and run tests there the other night. Or Brad, who has quietly moved the exiv2.org domain into the Amazon EC2 cloud, without a glitch and without anybody noticing. Or Gilles, who wrote support for PGF image format for Exiv2 and at the same time went all out to help the people at the PGF project define how to store metadata. And the list goes on.

Very nice program, I use it a lot on my pictures! I was still using 0.14 but upgraded my camera so I thought also upgrade exiv2.
After 0.17.1 something is broken in the processing of Nikon D700 NEF files. Camera generated JPGs are processed ok. The NEF information shows a size of 160x120 in both fields.
I've tested 0.18/1/2, they all have the same behavior. Below the EXIF info from 0.18.2 and 0.17.1.
Maybe it is now reporting the size of the embedded thumbnail? This is the NEF file used for the info below: www.martinparis.com/MP0_0175.NEF. Change NEF to JPG and you'll get the in camera JPG.

I don't know if the Error message from 0.18.2 has anything to do with it. Also note the two warnings from 0.17.1, those are probably resolved somewhere after 0.17.1.
