Exiv2 0.21.1 (Cygwin) 'suddenly sprouting stackdumps'
Added by Steve Wright about 10 years ago
It looks like I may have to go in for installing 0.22 after all.
The three dump files in the attached .zip were made within an hour of one another/within an hour of my running the Cygwin setup.exe utility to reinstall some incomplete packages that showed up in a cygcheck I ran this morning. The only error, and it was mild, that setup gave had to do with inetutils, not libjpeg or anything that might be related to Exiv2.
I hope someone can make sense of these -- maybe tell me what might be causing them?

PS: "6842" is a passkey I use (very seldom) on the Web and FTP.

No longer an issue. Solved it the most obvious way -- upgraded to 0.22 !
I was a little worried, though: during the CMAKE process, I noticed it couldn't find something in my gcc+ having to do with static XMP write & read. I guess it built a substitute, since I've had no problem either reading or writing XMP data to healthy JPEG files since installing the new version.
